Beachworld Glass Sphere with Gorgonia Ecosystem

The Gorgonian sea plant family is known for its beauty and variety and now you can have one of your own in a self-contained biosphere.

This 12.5cm sealed sphere contains a Gorgonia branch as well as miniature shrimp that live alongside the plants. This biosphere also contains shells and white sand, resulting in a beautiful piece of living decoration. The sphere has its own self-contained ecosphere that requires no attention or help from the owner.

This sphere needs to be placed in artificial light or daylight for at least 6-8 hours a day as this causes the micro-algae inside to produce oxygen for the shrimp. As the shrimp eat the algae they produce nutrients and carbon dioxide that helps the algae grow. This sphere needs to be kept between 16°-26° C.

Please note: This package needs to be opened immediately upon delivery as the ecosystem cannot survive for sustained periods without sunlight. The shrimps may seem still upon arrival but that is due to the cold conditions inside the box.
