How to play Catan

Set on the uninhabited island of Catan, players start by placing number cards across the terrain and settling down two settlements. They must roll the dice to acquire resources and make roads, more settlements, and cities. Negotiation on resources then happens, leading to the heart of the game - players building their dream settlements and racing to be the first to 10 victory points. Game play takes 1-2 hours, so there's time for everyone to get involved.
