This futuristic RC car has been built by the tech aficionados at Sphero and monitored by the guys at Pixar to make sure the charismatic McQueen is exactly like he is in the Cars movies. Plenty of remote control cars come with head and tail lights – and so does Lightning, but he also does a lot more. With emotive and responsive suspension and over 300 catchphrases, this miniature marvel is true to his movies design. Then to make him even more lifelike, he has a 320 x 120 LCD screen for his eyes, an animatronic mouth and five capacitive touch sensors. Allowing him to react to what you say and do with a realism that most remote control machines could never achieve. Watch in amazement as Lightning leans into hairpin turns, drifts like a pro and performs stomach turning doughnuts, all the while being controlled through your smartphone, with top speeds of 6mph. Not exactly the high speeds of the Piston Cup but still pretty fast!

Not only do you get to drive Lightning, but there’s also three other features for you to enjoy. Pit Stop Panic is an intense game which sees you and Lightning working together in the pits, fixing the cars as they come and go. Don’t worry if you don’t know your oil can from your brake fluid, McQueen is here to help you and will shout out tips and clues to you as you play.
