Superior LP

The Superior LP from Ion is even more impressive than its name might suggest. As well as playing LPs (and records of any size, from your 7” singles to your white label 12”s) it will also play all of your modern and legacy media too! It features a CD player, cassette deck, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth input, a USB port that will play MP3s and even an aux input for if you have any other devices (MiniDisc anyone?) you’d like to connect. And the powerful built in amplifier and speakers mean that it’s a true, all in one solution.

As well as playing virtually anything you can throw at it, the Superior will also record to a USB drive from the record player, cassette deck, CD player and even the radio. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for when you don’t want to share your music and an RCA line out for when the built in amp and speakers aren’t loud enough – though we’re really impressed with them here in the Menkind office.

All of this incredible technology is housed in a super classy wooden finished exterior based on old fashioned wirelesses, which gives it an air of understated cool. The controls are finished in brushed steel and the semi-circular radio dial compliments the period style perfectly. A three digit LCD finishes off the Superior, supplying you with useful information like what track number you’re playing and what mode you have selected.

So if you’re just dying for an excuse to dust off all those cool demo tapes and white labels, or you want to tidy up the living room and get rid of all those dusty hi fi boxes then the Superior LP combines function and style into one awesome package!
