Flowers for Valentine’s Day - Order Online
Menkind is the home of the Unusual. Weird and wonderful gifts engineered to shock, surprise and impress. But we know traditional gifting, too. Especially on Valentine's Day.
When it comes to chosing the perfect gift to say 'I love you', our Flowers pick themselves (not literally, of course. An expert florist did that). That individual touch makes them perfect Valentine's Gifts for Girlfriends - and if you need a Valentine's Gifts for Wife, whilst all of our Valentine flowers are spectacular, our 24k Golden Rose in a Black Gift Box is a truly elegant gift, representing the longevity of marriage. Plus, the permanence of the Golden Plated Rose means you won't need to buy her Valentines day flowers ever again! (psych, see you again same-time next year).
And of course, the best valentine flowers are always accompanied by chocolate. Arguably, some of our Chocolate bouquets are even more impressive than our Valentine’s day flowers. Don't believe us? Head over to our Chocolate Valentine's Gifts to find out. Unlike the Golden rose though, the chocolate certainly will not last forever. NB: this does not need to be a metaphor for your relationship.
Valentine Flower FAQs
Can You Give a Guy Flowers for Valentine’s Day?
In short: Yes! Many guys LOVE receiving flowers. While flowers may traditionally be a Valentine's Day gift for women, nobody should be excluded from being gifted something they will enjoy. Most men love Chocolate and Wine, too! Whilst we at Menkind pride ourselves on our unusual gift ideas, there is nothing unusual about treating your boyfriend or husband to traditional Valentines' Gifts.
Why Flowers Valentine’s Day?
As with many modern traditions, the credit for giving a bouquet of Flowers on Valentine's Day stems back to the ancient Egyptions, Greeks and Romans, who identified the sacred Rose with their godesses of Love; Isis, Aphrodite and Venus - which also feeds the relationship between romance and the colour red.
What Colour Flowers for Valentine’s Day?
Many thoughtful messages may be expressed, depending on the colour you choose. The Red rose is the most popular choice; 'I love you'. A White rose signifies 'I appreciate you', and similarly a pink rose says 'I’m grateful you’re in my life.' The deepest of bonds can be expressed by a purple rose; 'I always knew you were the one', whilst a blue rose lets your recipient know they are special and unique. Yellow roses signify a great friendship, and an orange rose can help move your relationship to the next level; 'I'm falling in love with you'. For the perfect gift for your wife, husband, or long-term partner, 'You're the one for me' or even more significantly, 'you're everything to me', can be expressed with White roses or Kaleidescope rose colour respectively.
